On the morning of September 24, Thai Deputy Prime Minister Prawit Wongsuwon, Thai Ambassador to China Bi Liya, Zhen Peng and representatives of Thailand's Office of Civil Service Commission paid a friendly visit to Beijing Language and Culture University.
On behalf of BLCU, President Liu Li warmly welcomed the delegation, introduced the overall development of BLCU and highlighted the construction of BLCU discipline. President Liu pointed out that BLCU is becoming a comprehensive university characterized by international Chinese education and the continuous development of other related disciplines. BLCU welcomes more Thai students to study in BLCU on different programms and realize their dreams. BLCU is also willing to cooperate with more Thai universities and provide relevant support.
Deputy Prime Minister Prawit Wongsuwon said that Thailand has a great demand for the training of all kinds of Chinese talents at present, and hopes to cooperate with Chinese universities in running schools in Thailand, introduce Chinese educational resources, set up a Chinese language education center mainly for Thai professional and academic talents meanwhile radiating ASEAN countries with a larger scale and a higher level, and becoming one of the important projects in the “belt and road” plan.
