On the morning of May 20, the 15th world cultural festive in Beijing Language and Culture University was grandly opened.
The parade team composed of students from different countries first kicked off the world culture festival. The parade started from the east gate of BLCU, crossed Chinese parasol avenue and headed for the football playground. International students today specially put on their own traditional costumes with different characteristics, and their elaborately-made costumes make them very beautiful. They are either waving the national flag or singing and dancing to show their youth and vitality.
BLCU percussion band started its performance with dragons rising and tigers leaping at first, and its forceful drum music set off a small climax. While the overseas students from different countries are heartily performing on the stage, the exhibitions of wonderful booths from different countries are showing their creative, which attracts people's attention. The festival also provides a special "passport" for the cultural festival, which can be stamped and remembered by the audience at the booth in each country.
Up to now, BLCU has cultivated more than 200,000 foreign students who know Chinese and are familiar with Chinese culture for more than 180 countries and regions in the world, and many alumni have become well-known figures in the field of academia, politics and business. BLCU has been adhering to the philosophy of pluralism, equality and inclusiveness, building a platform for international students from all over the world to show their cultures and communicate with each other, and at the same time, it is an important window for BLCU to set up an international image.
